Job Description

Department: Finance
Reporting to: Finance Operations Manager
Salary: £29,349
Base: Gravesend
Closing date: 18th September 2022
Interview date: TBC

We are looking to recruit an Accounts payable officer qualified at AAT level. You would be part of a two person Accounts payable team, liaising with our Procurement department and other Internal & external customers with the responsibility of all payments, foreign payments, CIS and weekly bacs runs etc.

The Finance team is based in our Gravesend Offices, however working from home part of the week is now the norm if preferred. There are other benefits including 28 days holiday, a pension, free on-site parking and a cycle to work scheme.

A little bit about the Port of London Authority (PLA):

You probably don’t realise but many of the products you buy will have come into the Port of London. The PLA is the biggest port in the country. It also looks after the whole of the tidal Thames running through our capital city, a draw for many tourists from around the world. There are also many rowers, paddle boarders and small craft that use the Tidal Thames regularly.

As the UK are moving to a Net Zero economy, the port and river will have a crucial part to play in this transformation. We take our social and environmental responsibilities seriously. The future is changing, and you could have the opportunity to be part of this.
