Reporting to the Head of Finance and Strategy, this role has responsibility for data and business intelligence across the company. Key priorities will be leading on data gathering, analysis, and generating actionable insight via data analytics.
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead on business intelligence and data priorities.
- Responsible for the identification, recommendation, gathering and analysis of data from various sources to drive business decisions.
- Lead on linking Finance and Strategy with relevant IT solutions and database E.g. Data warehouse.
- Recommend and support for an over-arching approach to data flow, business intelligence, and management information across the business.
- Create and maintain reporting, data visualisation and dashboard developments to support informed decision making and improve data accessibility in different business areas.
- Compiling, analysing and presenting data from multiple sources for both regular and ad[1]hoc reports.
- Monitoring, analysing & highlighting trends and making recommendations for action based on findings.
- Support the Finance and Strategy department in driving data-led decision making.
- Anomaly investigation and data reconciliation.
Key Skills:
- Experience with SQL.
- Experienced with creating reports and dashboards using Power BI (or Advanced Excel, VBA, or similar BI/data visualisation tools.)
- Prior experience in a data analytical role and strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Experienced in analysing large data sets and reporting insights.
- A strong ability to communicate findings in a concise and engaging manner
- Experience working with stakeholders; understanding and challenging requests
- Strong organisational skills.
- Ability to work in an ever changing & fast-paced environment
- Have the ability to multi task, prioritise & meet deadlines
- Seek to find continuous improvement
- Desirable (or willingness to learn)
- Python / R programming languages
- Knowledge of statistics (e.g. experimentation design, statistical inference)
- Data analytics infrastructure
- Budgeting, forecasting or financial reporting knowledge
