Thames Luxury Charters are currently seeking an experienced passenger boat Captain to join the Company working across the fleet. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate looking to develop their career on the River Thames and be part of a successful company.

Main Duties

Reporting to the Fleet Captain, you will be an integral part of the crewing department helping to ensure the safe operation of vessels and compliance with the Safety Management System and statutory requirements are being met, ensuring the highest possible standards are maintained at all times.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will hold the following qualifications as a minimum:

• Tier 1, Level 2 Boat Masters Licence
• Endorsements to include:
  • Local Knowledge
  • Passenger Operations
  • Large Passenger V Endorsement
• A valid ML5 Medical or ENG 1
• At least 2 years’ experience as Captain of a large passenger vessel

We are looking for someone who is highly self-motivated, committed, and flexible in their approach with the ability to both lead and work effectively as part of a team.

You must have a genuine desire and ability to work with the public in a front line, customer focused environment.

Hours of work

Your hours of work will be based on an average of 48 hours per week and will be variable in accordance with the workload of the vessels and will include some evenings and weekends.

We offer a competitive salary, negotiable depending on experience.
