Cleaning Operative

  • Deal with any issues efficiently and in a professional manner, referring to the Cleaning Supervisor if required
  • Ensure that cleaning of maritime infrastructure and key facilities are carried out in accordance with the specification, reporting any faults to the Cleaning Supervisor
  • Work to task schedules as defined by the Cleaning Supervisor
  • Ensure the safe and effective use of equipment and materials
  • Report any low stock or equipment concerns to the Cleaning Supervisor
  • Ensure that machinery, equipment and cleaning stores are kept in a clean and tidy state
  • Use the time and attendance system to record working hours, being ready to work from the start of each shift
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices, ensuring a safe and tidy working environment for the individual and the wider team.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve personal, team and business performance.
  • Ensure that you and members of your team comply with all Health and Safety regulations and safe working practices as required by current legislation, the Company’s Health and Safety Policy and practices.
  • Report any concerns to the Cleaning Supervisor
  • Ensure that all relevant information is communicated speedily and accurately in a way that ensures that the information is received and easily understood.
  • Undertake any other relevant duties or reasonable request as requested by your line manager, Head of Department or any member of the senior management team.
  • Conduct cleaning of all Thames Clippers maritime infrastructure in accordance with the cleaning plan as supplier by Cleaning Supervisor
  • Manage cleaning issues that arise, resolving immediately where possible
  • Work with Fleet Control and Engineering departments to ensure cleaning activities are carried out in coordination with other departments during the available timescale
  • Ensure the cleaning duties for other TC facilities are carried out as directed by the Cleaning Supervisor
  • Maintain all equipment and stores
