We’re looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to provide support to the Head of Engineering to ensure a safe and effective working environment by overseeing the day-to-day maintenance and servicing of all vessels.

Our Senior Electrical Engineers play a critical role in ensuring our vessels are kept in service and fully operational wherever possible, by ensuring effective and efficient maintenance is always carried out by prioritising maintenance where possible during quieter periods.

You’ll work with the Senior Engineering team to define, implement and review technical improvements to the fleet and engineering facilities, providing full technical analysis and reporting as required and defined by Head of Engineering.

We’re looking for someone to assist the Senior Marine Engineers to supervise and coordinate all engineers on shift and work as part of a full engineering team.

Whilst ensuring both you and your team are adhering to all Health and Safety regulations, you’ll make sure all faults and works/repairs are logged and reported as appropriate.

We’re looking for a qualified electrician or electrical engineer, 17th Edition compliant or similar. Working experience of 12V, 24V, 415V 3-phase systems is essential and working knowledge of engine driven power generation systems is desirable.

You’ll need to be committed and flexible in your approach to work, our engineers work 12 hour shifts either starting at 6am or 6pm.

Good communication skills are important to be able to relay information in a timely and efficient manner, along with the ability to write reports.

You’ll also be a team player, who wants to learn and is able to take on feedback in order to develop their career.

We’ll give you all the training you need regarding our systems as well as a thorough induction on how the operations at Uber Boat by Thames Clippers work, so you will be set up for success.

Where: You’ll be based on Trinity Buoy Wharf Pier, Poplar, London E14 0JY, a short walk from Canning Town tube or a hop across the river in our staff boat, from North Greenwich tube.
