Who we are:

The Port of London Authority is the statutory harbour authority for the tidal Thames and responsible for 95 miles of the River Thames from the Estuary to Teddington Lock in West London. We work to keep river users safe, protect and enhance the environment and promote the use of the river for trade and travel.

The role:

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Coordinator (soft services) to join us for 15 months to cover a period of maternity leave. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Facilities Manager in the smooth running of all soft FM services and delivering excellent facilities services to a number of mixed-use office buildings, in multiple sites in both Gravesend and London. The role will include liaising with internal and external stakeholders daily with a strong customer focus. The successful candidate will be the responsible person for our reception team at our London River House complex.

What we are looking for:

The role would suit an organised and experienced FM professional with a customer experience background, who understands the importance of support services, contractor management and meeting client expectations.

You will need to be an excellent communicator who relates well to internal and external stakeholders and have the ability to interact with a people at all levels. You must be able to multitask and prioritise your workload. The successful candidate will have advanced computer skills, highly developed administration skills and able to prioritise a busy workload. You will also require minimum of 2 years’ experience in facilities management and experience of contract management. A clean driver’s licence is also preferred as our buildings are in different locations.

The role requires the candidate to hold or be working towards the following qualification: IOSH Managing Safely
