City Cruises UK is part of the City Experiences division of the Hornblower Group, a global leader in world-class experiences and transportation services. We operate public dining and sightseeing cruises as well as private charters for corporate events, birthday parties, weddings, or other special occasions across London, Poole and York.

The Product & Insight Executive will play a key role in assisting in creating and developing new products as well as managing the delivery of our existing products. Through research and data analysis advise on product improvements, pricing, product development and new revenue streams.

The team member will also be responsible for product delivery and ensuring accurate presentation both within our own channels and external partners.

Product research & development

  • Monitoring of City Cruises UK, Gifting and Voucher partners websites to ensure accurate product presentation
  • Produce regular quantitative and qualitative summaries on the customer satisfaction of each product from all available sources including (Trip Advisor and direct feedback).
  • Monitor complaints and customer feedback for product improvements
  • Prepare and distribute product information according to amended or new products
  • Support the Product Manager in the production of annual product plans for each product with recommendations for product improvements
  • Review and produce annual product delivery plans putting in place measures and controls to ensure delivery is managed according to plan
  • Work with London River Services and Entertainer suppliers to ensure delivery of service such as pier and entertainment bookings are in place for the services on offer
  • Updating and maintaining City Cruises UK confluence pages

Insight analysis

  • Analyse booking intake profiles and customer behavior by distribution channel as a valuable input into pricing decisions
  • Communicate regular competitor analysis and benchmarking
  • Keeping track of product cancellations and reasons for cancellations
  • Monitor market trends, competitor product and environmental factors on an ongoing basis for analytical purposes
  • Producing analytical data for product cancellations (reasons and revenue)
  • Supporting Product and Commercial Manager with trading data and insight

Administrative/Other

  • Thamesjet Private Hire enquiries and bookings
  • Dealing with Guest Comments and query resolution
  • Support the loading of products to systems when required
  • Additional duties as may reasonably be required
  • Be an Ambassador for our RESPECT Service System

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent within a business discipline.
  • Experience working in a Leisure, Travel/Tourism Company advantageous
  • Experience working within a data and trend analysis environment advantageous
  • Customer Service orientated – Actively looks for ways to promote our business and enhance the guests’ experience
  • Analytical and numerate
  • Commercially minded
  • Highly motivated with strong initiative
  • Ability to identify any issues and resolve them in a proactive manner
  • Flexible, can-do attitude with the ability to react calmly in a pressurised situation

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Up to £24,000.00 per year
