Who we are:
The Port of London Authority is the statutory harbour authority for the tidal Thames and responsible for 95 miles of the River Thames from the Estuary to Teddington Lock in West London. We work to keep river users safe, protect and enhance the environment and promote the use of the river for trade and travel.
The role:
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the PLA as a Technical Coordinator. You will work within the Marine Operations directorate, which includes Marine Services, Civil and Marine Engineering, Hydrography and Risk and Compliance. Working cross-departmentally, the role provides support and advice to the Operations leadership team, coordinating and managing various workflows such as asset management and internal audit, supporting effective project and programme delivery.
The successful candidate will have experience with maintaining the confidentiality, integrity and availability of data will be the lead to centrally coordinate and support a number of change management projects across the organisation.
What we are looking for:
Candidates will have a Higher National standard of education achievement in literacy and numeracy.
It is essential that the successful candidate has several years related work experience in areas such as technical administration or database management. A good team player with strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to present information confidently to varied audiences. You will also have excellent IT and report writing skills.
Experienced in project management and an understanding of topics such as risk management and QHSE management systems is desirable.
